Self-Reflection: Many Worlds Within The Self, Many Selves In The World (2026) Book Description
Description for book published on Amazon that is no longer available. The purpose of publishing the book was to consolidate all my writing into one place and by doing so re-study it all enough to come up with concise overarching messages or lessons I wanted to convey from all the writing I had done that I believed was significant that I had access to from the year 2010 (when I was in Grade 7 and age 12) to this year in 2026.
Now that this process has been completed, I don’t feel it is useful for myself or others to have all of this writing available for purchase in book form, but I am posting the pieces of writing that I still believe in and are relevant to myself and the world here on this website jonathanmwklassen.com.
The process of self-reflection:
Research the contents of your subconscious or underlying belief systems that developed through all forms of socialization in your upbringing and life experiences, along with the inherent biological drives and instincts that have been developed over human history and manifest in each individual.
Make sure your aim is good and productive for yourself and others, no matter what everyone else around you is doing or thinking of you.

Matthew 7:3-5 (NRSV): “Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye but do not notice the log in your own eye? Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.”

This collection is authoured by a sports-loving, musically-inclined man with an identical twin in a close-knit family of 5 with a small but far-spread extended family, a Gen Z (b. 1997) with a more Millenial-esque upbringing, with Baby Boomer parents who border on the Gen X generation divide, a modern Mennonite ancestry and upbringing while attending public elementary schools, a God-questioner-and-seeker & Christ-admirer, who is anti-forced-interactions-and-relationships-based-and-financially-exploititive-religion but pro-intentional-community, a lower-middle-class private-high-school alumnus, a liberal-arts-educated manual-labour-work-experienced fellow who volunteered to campaign for the Green Party in early 2025 while holding pro-free-market-small-laissez-faire-government-capitalism, pro-Judeo-Christian-family-and-marital-relationship-values, anti-cars-over-people-city-planning, anti-big-corporation-profit-above-all-and-monopolistic-ambition, pro-reform-the-police views.
He is from the City of Kitchener (originally named Berlin) in the twin cities of Kitchener-Waterloo or the tri-cities of Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo, in Waterloo Region (encompassing 3 cities and 4 townships), in the province of Ontario, in the country of Canada (a “federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy” with the King/Queen of the United Kingdom still the official Head of State of Canada, and a Prime Minister as the Head of Government, bordering the United States of America from the north) who doesn't care about "national identity", national unity, or patriotism but thinks the way of life of the average person, societal norms, government and economic structures in Ontario, Canada is likely one of the best possible in present day and likely the history of humanity but wouldn't be opposed to his country becoming part of the United States of America but not as one "51st state" but some division of Canada into 7 to 13 states.
His mother and maternal grandparents were born in Canada, his father was born in Paraguay, his paternal grandparents were born in what is now Ukraine, he has great-grandparents born in Canada, the United States of America, and Russia, and his ancestry on both sides can be traced back to what are now Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
This collection also includes reflections on ice cream, coffee, romance, religion, nihilism, & public transit stations, and a musical soundtrack recommendation is provided for each reflection.
