Call-in to the 12 O'Clock Talk-Back Hour on The Mike Farwell Show on 570 News Radio: https://kitchener.citynews.ca/2024/08/02/friday-august-2nd-2024/ (1:55:37)
Mike Farwell: Jonathan, you're on Free Phones Friday, good afternoon.
Jonathan Klassen: Good afternoon, I guess this is my first time on 570 News Radio rather than City News, so maybe you can play the first-time caller sound haha!
Mike: Hahaha, if I could I would but I don't have those bells and whistles with me today. I like that. You're paying attention. You noticed we made a subtle change this week. Good man.
Jonathan: Ya anyways, first I want to talk about the rain it's pretty crazy right now. I deliver for FedEx so I'm in a parking lot right now. I clocked out but I'm in a parking lot at Forbes Motors right now and here on Weber near Bridgeport it's almost a lake on the road there so watch out if you're driving through there.
Mike: Appreciate the heads up on that.
Jonathan: And then I also wanted to mention that I delivered to The Aud this morning which is pretty cool for me because I'm a big Rangers fan and ya I'm excited about the season coming up, actually I tagged you in my Instagram post about it so you can see that but ya I think they're going to have a good year, we'll see. Well I think next year and the year after are the championship years in my opinion so we'll see.
Mike: Jonathan, appreciate the call, good to hear from you today. I have the same feeling about the Kitchener Rangers. Not to take anything away from the season they are about to have but this is when the rebuild will probably be felt the most.
However let's recognize those who deserve some recognition. Cameron Reid, Luca Romano in Edmonton this weekend as they get set to open the Hlinka-Gretzky Tournament and they're playing for Team Canada's Under 18 squad there so that starts on Monday and continues until the 10th. A couple of young and exciting prospects with the Kitchener Rangers and ya this team is building towards something pretty special.
It's interesting that Jonathan as a fan was excited to go make a delivery to The Aud. Here on my sort of long weekend vibe on the show, I'm wearing a t-shirt instead of a golf shirt today or anything else and it's my Kitchener Rangers t-shirt so Jonathan there you go.
Sorry about all that rain you've got too. It's rather lovely right now in the Muskokas and I had to move myself outside in hopes of getting a more stable internet connection. So far so good. But tough gig out on the back deck and enjoying the conversation with you this afternoon.
