Upside-Down Worldview of the Bible

In the story and poem about the blind men and the elephant, we can learn that all humans have their own opinion about God or their own worldview but if we listen and think about each other's ideas we can have a better idea of what everything means. In the story/poem the blind men all had different opinions at what the elephant was but they didn't listen to each other and only stuck with their own ideas so none of them knew what the elephant really was. We need to listen to everyone's opinions to have a complete worldview.

Worldview 

My worldview at this point in life is that everyone is here for a reason; everyone has an impact on someone in the world and we can learn from each other's experiences and mistakes. I also think that the Universe was created by God in a very organized way but since it's so big and hard so wrap our minds around humans can't figure it out. I think life is just part of the patterns of the Universe and there is more life in other places. What's wrong with our world is that people have a hard time thinking that they are just tiny parts of existence so they want to be important. This makes people sometimes only think of themselves and treat others badly. Everyone wants to have as much money, power and happiness as possible. If only people would realize they're important and they should be nice to and help other people the world would be more peaceful. As for the end of life, I think it's just part of God's patterns of the Universe. Once life ends I believe people's souls will go to a place without space or time where they will live peacefully with God forever.

The Bible can be both a library and one story at the same time because there are many books in the Bible (of different types and genres) but they all have the same general theme. They're all telling us how different people interpret the way God wants us to live. the story of Israel and.

History of the Bible 

Even though the Bible is an ancient book that was written over a period of 1000 years it can be "our story" and still be valuable and sacred today. I think this because it gives us a theory about how our history from 2000 years ago and earlier. It also gives us guidelines to how we should live our lives and how to interact with others. The Bible gives us history and tells us how to live. It is still very important today.

The Dead Sea Scrolls 

The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is the most significant archaeological find of the twentieth century because they are the oldest known texts of the Bible today and could be very close to the original texts. It's also very significant because John the Baptist might have been part of the group of people who copied the text onto the scrolls and he is an important person in the New Testament of the Bible.
